  • How to Overhaul Your Houses Exterior

    By October 4, 2019Uncategorized

The vast majority of homeowners understand the importance of interior cleaning, but not so much exterior cleaning and looking after the front of your house. This importance of this cannot be emphasized enough, after all, it’s the first thing that any visitors will see when visiting your home.

More significantly, a good wash will get rid of any dirt and grit that accumulates over time. When agitated by the wind and rain, these abrasive particles can quickly mar or damage your siding or masonry. An annual cleaning can help prolong the life of those surfaces.

It might seem that washing an entire house is a Herculean task, but it’s not especially difficult. There are a number of tools, techniques and cleaning agents that can make the job easier. But careful planning and preparation are essential if you want to do the job right.

With this in mind, here we have provided a couple of handy tips and pointers to help you get your home looking sparking.

    Clean your windows

Spring pollen and dirt can stain your windows, so take the time to wash them down and clean them once the pollen has settled.

    • Work out of the sun to keep the cleaner from drying out quickly.

    • A mixture of white vinegar and water makes a great natural window cleaner.

    • Use crumpled up newspaper, rather than paper towels, to clean and dry your windows.

Give your roof a good clean and use a good coating

If your roof is covered in moss or has streaks from algae growth, simply cleaning it off with water won’t do the trick. Chances are, the stains will return before your home is sold. For a longer-lasting solution, clean your roof with a product designed to break it down and prevent regrowth as well as using a sufficient roof coating treatment.

    Repair your driveway

Undoubtedly your driveway is something that you use everyday, with this in mind, there are a few very simple things you can do to make sure it’s in the best possible condition:

    • Start by removing any grass or weeds that are encroaching on the driveway or growing in any cracks.

    • Follow this by a deep cleaning with a pressure washer to remove dirt or debris.

    • Next, patch any cracks or holes in concrete surfaces with a concrete resurfacer.

    • Worn asphalt drives can be restored by applying a coat of latex asphalt sealer to make them look brand new
